I have owned and managed the pre school since 2008. Before this, I studied childcare at City College and then worked as a nanny in a family environment.

After having my 3 children, I joined Stepping Stones as an assistant, trained to level 3 and became deputy. I then became the owner and manager. I have also studied through the Open University to complete a Foundation Degree.

I have three daughters, one aged 24 and twins aged 22.

I love my job on a daily basis and enjoy offering a service to the community and working with an amazing team of staff. We all work towards enhancing each child's progress, development and knowledge to prepare them for their futures.

I live in Wymondham with my husband and two children. I originally trained as a teacher, working in schools and nurseries in Kent and Warwickshire. I then had a career change working in HR before having my children.

In 2010 we moved to Wymondham where both of my children attended Stepping Stones, and the time was right for me to go back to my roots and work with children again, once my youngest had started school.

I started working at Stepping Stones in early 2014 and became deputy later that year. I have gained various new qualifications since working at Stepping Stones, including EYFS, Child Protection, Safeguarding Lead Practitioner, Food Hygiene and First Aid.

I have worked at Stepping Stones for a number of years and hold a Level 3 Children and Young Person's Workforce qualification. My role is a pre-school practitioner.

I enjoy arts and crafts with the children and planning new ideas and activities.

I live in Wymondham with my partner and three children and lots of pets.

I am also a qualified veterinary nurse which I have been for nearly 30 years.

What is it they say about working with children or animals?!

I live in Ashwellthorpe with my partner and two children aged 17 and 12.

After gaining my BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing I worked as a nanny, then went on to become a registered childminder when I had my children.

Both my children attended Stepping Stones Pre-School as did I (many moons ago!) and when my youngest started school in 2008 I started working with Stepping Stones.

Throughout my time at Stepping Stones, I have achieved many qualifications including EYFS, British Sign Language, Signalong, Child Protection, Safeguarding Lead Practitioner, SENCO, Step On, Food Hygiene, PEP, Autism and First Aid.

I find working within the Early Years setting very rewarding and enjoy helping children reach their full potential.

I joined Stepping Stones in November 2013. I hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare which I completed at Norwich City College in 2009. I then progressed to a National Level 3 diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce which I started and completed here at Stepping Stones.

My role is a pre-school assistant which includes being a key person for a group of children and looking after them when they come into the setting, helping them settle and making sure the environment is warm and welcoming for them. I also organise a range of fun and interesting activities through planning.

Away from work, I live in Wymondham with my husband and son. I enjoy holidays to Cornwall and in my spare time enjoy going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

I have two school-age children and have been living locally with my family for a number of years.

When I joined Stepping Stones in 2016, as a Practitioner, I brought with me nearly 20 years of experience of working with children and education environments, including 10 years within a Special Needs school.

My current qualification is NVQ Level 2 in Childcare. So far I have greatly enjoyed working at Stepping Stones.
